New joint venture over sale of Ole Almeborg A/S products
Logitrans A/S in Ribe forms a new Joint Venture with JENSEN Denmark A/S on Bornholm
On June 1st, 2024, a joint venture collaboration will be established between Logitrans A/S and JENSEN Denmark.
At first glance, it might seem like an odd pairing, but when you delve a little deeper into the details, the collaboration makes a lot of sense.
JENSEN Denmark bought the Bornholm-based internal transport manufacturer Ole Almeborg A/S back in October 2023.
Ole Almeborg A/S has, throughout its history, been a competitor of Logitrans’, which also produces internal transport equipment. Therefore, the joint venture collaboration makes a lot of sense.
The collaboration will include that Logitrans purchases 50% of Ole Almeborg A/S from JENSEN Denmark and, thus, will be handling the sales of Ole Almeborg's products going forward.
JENSEN Denmark will continue their production on the island of Bornholm and will henceforth become a subcontractor to Ole Almeborg A/S, which will continue to operate in some of the company's existing buildings in Hasle.
JENSEN Denmark produces industrial washing systems, while both Ole Almeborg A/S and Logitrans A/S specialize in the production of internal transport equipment. Ole Almeborg A/S was founded in 1967, while Logitrans A/S was founded back in 1940.
"We have had Ole Almeborg as a colleague in the industry for many years. Some customers buy from both Ole Almeborg and Logitrans, while Ole Almeborg has several customers who are not currently Logitrans customers. Obviously, it's interesting for us to gain some customers that we don't have in our own portfolio today," says CEO of Logitrans A/S, Gitte Kirkegaard.
JENSEN Denmark emphasizes both retaining the production capacity on Bornholm, while at the same time bringing in a partner who knows the internal transport market. "In JENSEN Denmark, we are looking forward to the collaboration with Logitrans. Our focus is on industrial washing machines, so it makes a lot of sense to bring someone onboard who can drive the sales of Ole Almeborg's products," says Morten Rask from JENSEN Denmark.
